Older Lead Racehorse - 14 hand Gelding - Looking for a new home

Banjo is a 20-year-old dappled palomino gelding, selling as grade. He is described as a fancy broke ranch and lesson horse with a versatile background, including gymkhana events, barrel racing and pole bending. A fun, experienced horse with plenty to offer.

Penny – 20-year-old sorrel mare. Grade Quarter Horse. Very broke, goes English and Western. Used in children’s lessons. In-your-pocket personality, no mare attitude.

Mack – 26-year-old grade bay Quarter Horse gelding. Well broke, former rope horse. Used for lessons and trail riding. Same horse after time off. Bathes, ties, loads and good for the farrier. Recently dewormed.

IQPA Registered Black Mare, coming 4 years old. 13.2 hh. Has had four months of training and has been ridden by a 12-year-old, but is still considered green.

This mare Loves Children and was used in a lesson program. She is very good to catch, excellent for the ferrier and easy to load in the trailer. She does get sore with hard work but can also be left for months and able to saddle up and ride!

From the Owner With great regret this gelding is looking for a new home & opportunity. I bought this gelding in Jun 2025 for just under $25K with big hopes for our future. He was easy, fun, talented & came from the incredible Finnerty Performance Horses program. One day he presented off on his back right without a hair out of place. I spent over $5000 at the vet on xrays, ultrasounds, blocks, exams & every rabbit hole you can imagine at Moores. Every single image or otherwise came back unremarkable - no answer, no diagnosis, no visible reason for that hitch in his step so his discharge plan was simply - rest. It has been over 4 months - I am spent & the fact is that I am unable to continue to keep him while he rests due to a change of work so he is looking for someone who has the time to offer him & if you have that - you won't regret him. He is a dream to ride no matter what you are doing. He is not off all of the time - he walks, lopes around perfectly but sometimes he is off at a trot & maybe it is just time to get him legged back up & he will be good as new (muscle memory could be tricking us right now & there are many horses being rode & competed on that are far worse than him but that is not my cup of tea) anyway - I am unable to commit the time to that right now. This is a huge loss for me but I am being 100% transparent with hopes it gets him the perfect new home & I hope he gets the opportunity to be the reliable mount he is meant to be.
